Thundering exhaust. Men in balaclavas. A camouflaged prototype that’s actually covered in camouflage.
You can expect all this and more in the teaser trailer for the Super Trofeo, a new racing version of the just-released 2015 Lamborghini Huracán LP610-4.
Historically, Lamborghini hasn’t been too involved in racing, but the Italian marque has found success with the Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo series, which allows amateur drivers to compete in identical cars on some of the world’s best tracks.
The current Super Trofeo car is based on the Gallardo, but with that model’s discontinuation, it’s time for a new one.
Enter the Huracán Super Trofeo. It’s essentially a racing version of Lambo’s new “entry-level” supercar, with a stripped-down interior, beefed-up suspension and aerodynamics and, most likely, some extra power coming from the mid-mounted 5.2-liter V10.
The Lamborghini Huracán Super Trofeo will be unveiled August 15 at The Quail motorsport event, one of several gearhead gatherings held in conjunction with the annual Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance. Check back for more updates.

The 2026 Cadillac Lyriq-V is the first all-electric model in the luxury brand’s V-Series performance lineup. The V-Series has been instrumental in helping Cadillac shake off its stodgy image with fast-and-fun cars that go tire-to-tire with their counterparts from BMW M5 and Mercedes-AMG. But, more often than not, Cadillac V-Series models have been powered by loud-and-thirsty V8 engines — the opposite of the silent, zero-emission electric powertrains that are ostensibly Cadillac’s future.
