Like the thin, metalic look of an iMac but prefer Windows 10 to El Capitan? Asus has you covered with its new Zen AiO Pro Z240IC.
All-in-ones save desk space, while looking good, and if photos are any indication this computer will do just that. There’s a somewhat obvious inspiration here – even the Asus website for the Zen AiO Pro looks downright Apple-ish – but that doesn’t mean it’s not a great looking computer.
The 16-pound, aluminum-body Zen AiO Pro has a few details that set it apart from its doppelganger. There’s the signature Asus textured circle on the back, for example, and the optional gold casing. The 23.8-inch, 4K display offers a 178-degree viewing angle. Nvidia discrete graphics are included for extra visual omph. A GTX 950 with 1GB of memory is standard, and a GTX 960 with 2GB of memory is optional.
The all-in-one sports a 6th generation Intel® Core processors – your choice of i3, i5, or i7 – so there’s plenty of power. There’s up to 32GB of DDR4 memory, and hard drive configurations that include a 2TB HDD or a combination 1TB HDD with a 128GB SSD.
On the back side there are six USB ports – one USB 2.0, four USB 3.0 and one USB 3.1 – alongside 2 HDMI ports for external displays, if the 23.8 inch display isn’t enough for you.
Other features include six integrated speakers, a bundled wireless keyboard and mouse, and an optional touch screen.
For another look at the product, check out this video. Just be warned. In it Asus calls their own product “a masterpiece worthy of an art collection” that will “appeal to anyone with sophisticated tastes.” Not exactly humble, huh?
We’re not saying this doesn’t look like a great all-in-one, because it absolutely does. But Asus — maybe tone this down? Just a touch?
