Presidents’ Day Dell Deals: XPS, G16, monitors and more on sale

This Presidents' Day a variety of Dell favorites are on sale, including laptops and top monitors.

Presidents’ Day is a nice three-day reprieve from work, and it’s also a nice excuse to do some shopping. And Dell is certainly ready, with business laptops, monitors, and more discounted on their website and across Amazon. We’ve picked out our favorite deals, largely from the best Dell products out there — and products we’ve personally reviewed or have hands-on experiences with. Here, we present that list to you so you can get some of the best laptop deals and monitor deals around. Remember that as these deals are coming out around the Presidents’ Day holiday (though not all of them have explicit “Presidents’ Day” markings) they very well might end soon, so plan your purchases accordingly.

This sleek monitor with a modern look has integrated speakers, a 100Hz refresh rate, and a 4-star TÜV Rheinland eye comfort rating. The 24-inch Dell S2425HS is a great second monitor for your home office or second study. You won’t find many monitor deals with a price lower than the starting price of $140 that this one sports, much less the reduced $110.

Dell’s USB-C monitors make switching between a laptop and your desktop snappy, are easy on the eyes, and look great on your desk. In fact, a monitor in this series is being used in the creation of this very article. Get one for yourself at a price point cheaper than this writer paid while it is just $220.

Sometimes you need a powerful laptop that you can take with you and do complex computations, coding, and gaming on the fly. Other times you need a laptop that works, isn’t so expensive that it getting stolen or having your café coffee spilled on it will ruin your day completely. This affordable Dell laptop is in the second category, and even includes a nice numpad if you’re using Excel or working with numbers. You’ll enjoy its 120Hz, anti-glare screen, too, as you watch video and read your homework, etc. It’s hard to find laptops with a full keyboard at this price.

Dell’s G16 gaming laptop is one of the best gaming laptops you can buy from Dell outside of their Alienware gaming-specific sub-brand, and this is especially true if you prioritize value. For just $1,000 you can get an RTX 4060 laptop GPU, 16GB of RAM, a 1TB SSD, and way more power than you’ll need for Balatro or any other game you might find yourself wanting to play on a laptop.

Considered to be the best Dell laptops for business, the Dell Latitude 5540 is praised for its all day battery life (around 11 hours), mid-point pricing, and security features like automatic dimming when you look away and notifications in case of an onlooker taking a peek at the screen in the coffee shop. With a savings of more than $780, this is a great time to pick one up.

The Dell XPS Desktop is a solid choice of desktop for those that want a pre-built desktop computer — it has a solid design, isn’t bedecked in awkwardly bright RGB lights, and has easily accessible ports. Before purchasing this, be sure to check out our Dell XPS Desktop 8960 review, but keep in mind that some of the components are different on the configuration being sold. The version being sold for just $1,300 today has an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 Ti graphics card, 32GB of RAM, and 1TB of storage. Still, you’ll have a very similar experience in regards to the overall review, which praises the machine’s minimal bloatware and performance.

The Dell XPS line of laptops is known for their unique and comfy keyboards, sleek designs, and overall hardcore power. Whether it outright said or not, it is obvious they are gunning to be MacBook alternatives for those of us not deeply embedded into the Apple ecosystem. And, well, the Dell XPS 14 is no different, becoming one of the last XPS laptops ever. Our Dell XPS 14 review features a laptop nearly identical to the one on sale here, though it talks a bit more about the OLED screen version. The bottom line: Get this laptop for a super powerful notebook PC with a premium keyboard, all at just $1,700 while this deal lasts.

Dell’s XPS 16 is the top of the line in the classic and soon to be retired Dell XPS line of laptops. The configuration on sale for 16% off features an RTX 4060 GPU, 32GB of RAM, 1TB of SSD storage and an anti-reflect, anti-smudge UHD+ OLED touchscreen. Check out our Dell XPS 16 review to see the finer details or our comparison of the Dell XPS 14 vs Dell XPS 16 to see which version you should ultimately nab up.

The absolutely absurd idea of putting a touchscreen display on a mouse isn't exactly new. Turtle Beach already did it with its Command Series MC7, which features a 2.25-inch control screen. But apparently, even that wasn't ridiculous enough for Arctic Fox Technologies. Its new Super Mouse looks like someone took the chunky old Atari ST mouse, slapped a touchscreen and scroll wheel on it, and called it an upgrade.

The result is a rather unusual-looking mouse that is now on Kickstarter, starting at $199. And as ridiculous as it looks, some of its features are genuinely intriguing.

Apple is less than a day away from launching its highly anticipated OLED MacBook Pro with a touch-sensitive screen. But it appears that the upgrade is going to cost a pretty penny. According to a report by Bloomberg, Apple is reportedly eyeing a starting price of $2,899 for the 14-inch MacBook Pro, while the 16-inch version could start at $3,399 in the US.

"At $2,899, the 14-inch model would mark the highest starting price for a new MacBook Pro model, surpassing the $2,799 Apple charged for a 17-inch version introduced in 2006," says the report. The report claims that Apple is targeting a minimum price hike of $400 for its upcoming redesigned 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models.

I've spent a good amount of time digging into the spec sheet of the new M6 MacBook Pro (14-inch), and for all intents and purposes, this is a classic Apple "chip and connectivity" refresh. It's not a full redesign. The chassis, Liquid Retina XDR panel, speakers, ports, and battery, all of them carry over unchanged.

However, the M6 brings more cores, stronger on-device AI, higher memory bandwidth on the larger configs, and modern wireless. Here’s the practical rundown of what actually improved, and whether those gains are worth your money.
