Prime Day 3D printer deals: Creality, AnkerMake, Monoprice, more

These are the best Prime Day 3D printer deals, as well as how to choose what to buy this year.

There is a lot to love about 3D printing, whether you’re a hobbyist who enjoys cosplaying and wants to make things for that or you want to start a business where you’re printing things on demand. Of course, 3D printers can get expensive, especially the fancier ones that can do high-capacity and larger prints. On the bright side, while Prime Day is definitely over, there are still a few great Prime Day deals that you can take advantage of, and we’ve collected some of our favorites below.

The following Prime Day 3D printer deals will allow you to get an affordable printer, of quality, at one of the best prices of the year:

Choosing a 3D printer on Prime Day does not take any special skills or knowledge that wouldn’t be applicable during any other time of the year. The only exception to this is that you might get even better deals on older model versions (i.e. The “2” versus the “3” model) than your normally would. With this in mind, take a look at these factors when getting a 3D printer this year.

Filament vs resin printing: If you want to know what a 3D printer does, you need to know that 3D printers come in two types: FDM and resin printers. FDM printers, which heat hard plastic filament and place it down to rapidly cool and become hard in the selected shape, are generally quite easy to use and don’t require much from you aside from making sure the initial layer is successful. Resin printers create high definition prints by exposing a pool of liquid to light in a specialized environment. These printers requiring managing liquid resin, ensuring no accidental light exposures, and require curing after printing is completed. While resin printers often make more detailed prints, filament printers make excellent prints as well and if you’re a beginner you should choose a filament printer for your first foray.

Brand and reputation: If you’re new to the world of 3D printers and are choosing Prime Day to get one for the first time, you’re likely somewhat surprised by the prices available to you at this time. Unfortunately, there are many off-brand printers with cheap makes and poor service that will also try to pull off some quick sales at this time. Our lists stick to well-known brands with quality service and a history of success.

Resolution: Resolution in the 3D printing world works much the same as for your gaming monitor, it is how many “points of stuff” can be placed (or not placed, as it were) in an area. One thing to keep in mind, however, is size and proximity of viewing. Unlike your monitor, you might not be staring at your 3D printed model up close, making poorer resolutions appear better. You’ll also have the ability to sand your models, whereas what you have is what you get on a screen. Resolution is not unimportant, of course, but if you see a good deal on a printer with the right features, don’t sweat the small stuff.

The 3D printers selected for our Prime Day deals highlights were selected for their ability to serve different people, having quality discounts, and being of premium quality.

When we look at 3D printers, we know that many different types will be using them. From players looking to craft a model to represent their roleplayed avatar to teens and preteens learning a craft in afternoon sessions with Mom and Dad, the needs are going to be all over the place. As a result, we’ve done our best to find a variety of printer types, sizes, and presentations to meet all of those needs.

Of course, we also need to see a quality discount. During Prime Day deals, stores and manufacturers other than Amazon are permitted to have deals going on as well, of course. While prices evolve during the course of the sale, our Prime Day 3D printer deals are selected to reflect the cheapest price available from a quality retailers.

Finally, we’re focusing heavily on bringing you quality 3D printers. This means bringing you printers of the same level of quality as from our usual 3D printer deals publication. Brands like Anycubic, Elegoo, and Creality have proven themselves over time and, therefore, have been sought out for our Prime Day deals collection.

Speech-to-text apps have flooded the App Store, making it easier than ever to type on our Macs with just our voice. I have previously covered one such app called TypeWhisper. However, there has been a dearth of good text-to-speech models, and most of the good ones are locked behind a subscription.

Ollama, an open-source app that lets you run local AI models on your computer, wants to change that. It works on macOS, Windows, and Linux, and your prompts are never stored or used for training.

Did you think hitting delete on your AI chatbot conversation actually makes it disappear? Georgia Tech researchers just proved that's not entirely true. They have built a forensic tool called ORISA that can dig deleted conversations from your phone and even rebuild them into a working chatbot session you can keep talking to.

How can ORISA bring deleted AI conversations back?

Touchscreen laptops have been around for years. You can get them in all sizes and shapes. Just not from Apple. For years, the Cupertino giant has treated the idea of a touchscreen MacBook the way I treat a meeting that could have been an email: with open contempt. However, Wednesday looks like the day the company could finally change its mind.

The latest Apple invite puts the “Pro and Tell” showcase in Los Angeles at 10 a.m. PT (1 p.m. ET) on October 28, 2026. Instead of a regular live-streamed keynote, it is an invitation-only, hands-on event for a handful of press and creators (similar to what the company did for the MacBook Neo earlier this year).
