Many changes and additions are coming to Overwatch 2 in the next few seasons, such as a third-person Stadium mode, the return of loot boxes, and the Perks feature. Blizzard seems to be replacing the game in its entirety with these new minor and major hero Perks coming to Season 15 on February 18.
After fans were immensely disappointed that Blizzard canceled the hero shooter’s promised PvE mode, a huge shakeup like Perks is an exciting feature to play around with. But how do Perks even work, and what do they offer to the typical gameplay experience? Here’s every hero’s major and minor Perks in Overwatch 2.
Hero Perks are new unlockable buffs you can acquire throughout Overwatch 2 matches after your hero levels up. Each hero you play can grow from level one to level three, and as you level up you can start to pick between their available Perks.
Starting at level one, nothing has changed and you’re playing the hero like always. Once they reach level two, you can pick one of two minor Perks that slightly alter their gameplay style. Then at level three, you can pick between two major Perks that truly enhance the way they play.
Out of everything Blizzard has offered since Overwatch 2 dropped in 2020, this has to be the most game-changing feature yet. Now as you play through a match you can feel like you’re making progress and unlocking your hero’s true potential.
