The PlayStation 5 didn’t quite have the best release, although things have gotten considerably better over the past few years, with a lot more games and accessories that are in high demand. In fact, we’ve even seen two new versions of the console, the Slim and the Pro, further adding to the choices you can pick from. Because of that, there aren’t a ton of great deals on PS5 consoles right now since the market is still settling, but we have found a few great renewed offers that are worth looking at.
That said, if the options below don’t quite do it for you, be sure to check out these gaming console deals instead, and if you already have a PS5, then do check out these PS5 game deals to help buff up your library.
If you want a Sony audio experience that’s tailor-made for the PS5 but don’t necessarily enjoy wearing headphones, then the Pulse Wireless earbuds from Sony are an excellent option. It has great audio, an included mic for voice communication, and noise-rejection technology, which is just a fancy way of saying noise-cancelling. The earbuds also have a five hour battery life, as well as an additional ten hours in the charging case for a total of 15 hours, which isn’t a ton if these weren’t gaming-specific earbuds.

While VR may not have taken off as much as folks thought it would 10 or 15 years ago, if you’ve always wanted to try it out, the latest PSVR2 is surprisingly excellent and made specifically to go with the PS5’s specs. Not only does it have a 2000 x 2040 resolution per eye, it also has a whopping 120Hz refresh rate, which is more than most other VR headsets out there. It also has an OLED panel, so you’re going to get excellent color reproduction and deep blacks, and the 110-degree field of view should let you see quite a ton, which is always nice to have on a VR headset.
The Sony PlayStation 5 Slim is a serious upgrade not just over previous PlayStation generations, but over many consoles in general. For years, Call of Duty’s campaign mode has used big, scripted set pieces to tell the overarching story amid all the adrenaline-pumping action. The 2023 Modern Warfare 3 tried to shake up the established formula by introducing a handful of short open combat missions, and I genuinely liked the idea, but the game's overall negative reception seeped into how those missions were received.
I feared the next iteration might abandon the idea because of the backlash, but I am glad it didn't. MW4’s “Stranded” mission uses the same approach, but instead of fragmenting it across the campaign, it puts it all in a single large-scale open-world mission.
Acer’s Predator Atlas 8 finally has a US release date and price, several months after the company first showed off the handheld in May. The highlight is the Intel Arc G3 Extreme chip inside, which has been adopted by only a couple of other consoles besides the Atlas 8. This version will go on sale exclusively at Best Buy on November 1 for $1,299.99.
Acer originally said the Atlas 8 would arrive in North America in October, but left pricing open at the time. The launch came amid the ongoing DRAM crunch, which has made memory more expensive across the PC industry and complicated pricing for hardware makers.
