Yes. Borderlands 3 supports cross-platform play across PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Mac, and PC through Steam and the Epic Games Store. Crossplay runs through SHiFT Matchmaking, and players are prompted to enable it and create a Crossplay Display Name when they first launch the game.

Borderlands 3 uses SHiFT Matchmaking for crossplay. When you first launch the game, you’ll be asked whether to enable or disable crossplay and to set a Crossplay Display Name. That display name is required for SHiFT Matchmaking functionality.

Crossplay and cross-save are not the same thing. Borderlands 3 supports full cross-platform multiplayer, but progression transfer is more limited.

You can move between some versions within the same console family, and there is limited transfer support between Steam and Epic on PC. That is not the same as full cross-platform cross-save.

Some older Borderlands 3 guides are outdated because the rollout happened in stages. In 2021, crossplay support launched without PlayStation. Later updates added PlayStation crossplay on PS4 and PS5 with other platforms.
