Darksiders 4 and the next Kingdom Come game could arrive by March 2028

Darksiders 4 and the next Kingdom Come game are currently planned for Embracer's 2027/28 fiscal year, putting their potential release window between April 2027 and March 2028.

Fans waiting for Darksiders 4 and the next Kingdom Come game have finally been given something resembling a release window. Unfortunately, it is a rather large one. As part of its Q1 FY 2026/27 report, Embracer has placed both games in its 2027/28 fiscal-year pipeline, meaning they are currently expected to launch sometime between April 2027 and March 2028.

Darksiders 4 was announced in 2025, but Embracer has remained fairly quiet about the project since then. The company’s latest plans confirm that it is part of the major releases expected during FY 2027/28, alongside titles including Tomb Raider: Catalyst, which should follow up on Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis set to launch in 2027.

That doesn’t mean Darksiders 4 has a March 2028 release date. Fiscal 2027/28 simply runs from April 2027 through March 2028, so the actual launch could happen at any point within that period. Embracer’s previous release documents also list Darksiders 4 for PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.

The other interesting part is the next Kingdom Come game. Embracer’s annual report says Warhorse Studios is working on a new release in the franchise, while the company’s current pipeline places it in the same FY 2027/28 window. Importantly, Embracer has not officially called it Kingdom Come: Deliverance III, so it is better to think of this simply as the next game in the franchise for now. Warhorse is also developing a separate Middle-earth project, meaning the studio has multiple major projects in the works.

The timing makes sense within Embracer’s broader strategy. The company says its Fellowship Entertainment division, which houses major franchises including Kingdom Come, Darksiders, Tomb Raider and Dead Island, is targeting a higher cadence of major releases from FY 2027/28 onward. It expects at least two major games per year with full economics starting in that period.

So, yes, Darksiders 4 and the next Kingdom Come game are coming. Just don’t clear the calendar yet. With the current window stretching all the way from April 2027 to March 2028, fans could still be waiting quite a while before either game actually lands

The Call of Duty franchise has held a special place in my heart ever since I played my first Black Ops game back in 2010. That game's campaign was something else, with twists and turns that culminated in a mind-blowing finale. We can all admit that compared to those older campaigns, the recent CODs have been lackluster at best, and a complete and utter disappointment at worst. The reboot of Modern Warfare did give me some hope, as the first two installments were actually quite good, but the third game left such a bad taste in my mouth that I wasn’t exactly expecting much from Modern Warfare 4.

After recently finishing the campaign, I can say that this installment is nothing like the recent releases and instead feels closer to the franchise’s roots. For the first time in a long while, the campaign comes across as well-crafted rather than rushed to hit a release date. It arrives three years after MW3, and you can see exactly where all that time went. It seems the studio finally made listening to player feedback a priority.

Epic Games has just announced the 2026 Epic AI MegaJam, which is looking to see how much game development can be squeezed into a very short window. This is running from November 12 through November 15.

Participants can work alone or in teams of up to five people, build in Unreal Engine or Unreal Editor for Fortnite, and bring along “as many AI agents as you want.” Epic explicitly encourages coding agents, AI-generated assets, audio tools, writing tools, and other AI systems. The official event page literally says "Vibe your way to $50k.”

It’s turning into a pretty good time to be a Monster Hunter fan who plays on a phone. Capcom has confirmed that Monster Hunter Outlanders will launch on Android and iOS on October 29, giving the series a new mobile-first game just as Monster Hunter Rise is also preparing to make the jump to smartphones through Netflix.

Outlanders is being developed by Tencent subsidiary TiMi Studio Group under license and supervision from Capcom. Unlike Rise, which appears to be the full console and PC game adapted for mobile, Outlanders is a free-to-play survival hunting game made specifically for phones.
