While most people still go to Steam for the best PC games, the Epic Games Store has become a strong competitor in the space and now hosts all the best current and upcoming PC games. Unlike Steam, however, Epic entices users to invest in its ecosystem by offering a free game or two every week ranging from darling indies to AAA titles. All you have to do is jump on the Epic Games Store to claim the free games and they’ll be added to your library to keep forever. Unlike PlayStation Plus or Game Pass, you don’t have to subscribe to anything to get them; just create a free account and you can claim every free game offered.
Keeping track of all the free titles and gaming deals can be a pain, so we’re monitoring the Epic Games Store for you. We’ll update this article every week when the new games are available!
These games can be picked up on the Epic Games store right now for free. Scroll down to the Free Games section of the app’s Discover tab or find the individual title using the search bar. Just find and select the Get button to claim your free game. You do not have to download or install it right away.
Epic usually teases what will be free next week, but you’ll have to wait to claim it.
Want to get a feel for the kind of games Epic offers up for free? Or looking to see what you’ve missed out on? Epic has given away hundreds of game so far so it can be hard to remember them all. Note that Epic does occasionally offer the same game twice, so if you see a game here that you wish you had gotten, there is a chance it could appear again.
Here’s a list of everything that’s been free on the Epic Games Store:
