A new trailer for the Forza Motorsport reboot was shown during the Xbox and Bethesda Showcase 2022, giving us a closer look at the game in action, as well as a release window. The reboot, simply titled Forza Motorsport, will launch for Xbox consoles and PC in spring 2023.

Though the trailer itself was brief and didn’t show too much, Microsoft followed it with a deep dive focusing on stunning gameplay. Dynamic weather, car customization, and ray tracing were featured prominently, as well as detailed vehicle damage.
Forza Motorsport was first revealed during the 2020 Microsoft Games Showcase, and since then, developer Turn 10 Studios has been relatively quiet about the upcoming project. During the reveal trailer in 2020, the game was simply referred to as Forza Motorsport — dropping the traditional numbering scheme — leading many to believe the series was going to be rebooted. The upcoming game marks a major change for the series, as it will launch in the spring, rather than the fall.
Turn 10 Studios has been hard at work on Forza Motorsport for the better part of five years. The last entry in the Motorsport series was 2017’s Forza Motorsport 7, which launched for Xbox One. Forza Motorsport will be the first mainline game to come to Xbox Series X/S, following Forza Horizon 5.
Forza Motorsport will build upon the sim gameplay from previous installments, giving players a realistic experience, with top-notch visuals, sounds, and gameplay to match. While the Horizon subseries is more focused on exploration and thrills, Motorsport is all about the cars, with an emphasis on customization — perfect for players who love tinkering with their rides.
Acer’s Predator Atlas 8 finally has a US release date and price, several months after the company first showed off the handheld in May. The highlight is the Intel Arc G3 Extreme chip inside, which has been adopted by only a couple of other consoles besides the Atlas 8. This version will go on sale exclusively at Best Buy on November 1 for $1,299.99.
Acer originally said the Atlas 8 would arrive in North America in October, but left pricing open at the time. The launch came amid the ongoing DRAM crunch, which has made memory more expensive across the PC industry and complicated pricing for hardware makers.

Google Play is borrowing one of the Nintendo Switch’s most useful little tricks. A new Sidekick tool called Playbacks captures a short clip after something interesting has already happened, sparing players from running a screen recorder throughout an entire game.
Playbacks is part of Google Play Store v53.8 and keeps saved clips on the phone. Google first announced it earlier this month, but the new Play Store update marks its arrival for players. Anyone who has watched a perfect win vanish because the record button came too late already understands the appeal.
