Nintendo’s NES Classic Edition will bring power-users back to their childhoods when the unit hits shelves on Nov. 11, and the company will further kick up the nostalgia level when it fires up the Nintendo Power Line during the console’s release weekend.
From Nov. 11 to Nov. 13, calling 425-885-7529 between 9 a.m. and 10 p.m. EST will connect you to the company’s retired Power Line, which provides gamers with hints and tips for classic Nintendo titles of the 1980s.
In the pre-web gaming era, before YouTube walkthroughs and game guides, people would call the line for information about their favorite titles. Having trouble navigating The Legend of Zelda, or beating that final boss on Metroid? Just pick up the phone and get your hardest hitting questions answered.
Though the tips given during the NES Classic Edition launch weekend will be pre-recorded, this will surely provide that sense of nostalgia you’re looking for.
The NES Classic Edition, which the company announced in July, is the original NES in a miniature form factor, and comes with more than 30 original NES games preloaded, including Super Mario Bros., The Legend of Zelda, Final Fantasy, and Metroid. The console sells for $60, and in addition to the games, comes with an HDMI cable, an AC adapter, and one NES Classic Controller. Additional controllers can be purchased separately.
There have been grumblings about the short length of the controller cables. In this day and age when large televisions are more affordable than ever, who actually sits a couple of feet away from their set? While Nintendo hasn’t announced any plans to fix the issue, you can purchase an extension cable in the meantime.

Nintendo first teased the Talking Flower during a Nintendo Direct showcase last September. The company has now shared more details about the product, and confirmed when it will officially go on sale. Based on the flowers in the Super Mario Bros. Wonder game, the Talking Flower is exactly what its name suggests: a potted flower that speaks around twice per hour, delivering lines like "Sometimes it's nice to space out" or "Bowser and his buds can't get us here, right?"

The announcement came during the Xbox Developer Direct 2026 showcase, where Playground Games shared the first extended gameplay look and confirmed the release timing, including early access for Premium Edition players. Those who pre-order the Premium Edition will be able to start playing four days early on May 15. Importantly, this year’s Forza Horizon isn’t limited to Xbox and PC. For the second entry in a row, the series will also arrive on PlayStation 5 later in 2026, and players can already wishlist it on the PlayStation Store for launch notifications.
