Is Palworld cross-platform?

Palworld, the creature-collecting survival game that fans have dubbed “Pokémon with guns,” became a viral hit on launch day. With Pokémon being a Nintendo console-exclusive franchise (and one of the most successful video game franchises of all time), it’s no surprise that gamers who stick to other platforms like Xbox, PlayStation, and PC are eager for the chance to capture and battle with oddball creatures in an open-world setting.

Being a survival game with a huge emphasis on co-op, much like Ark: Survival Evolved, one would hope Palworld would be a cross-platform game.

You can play Palworld with friends, but what if they’re on a different platform? Here’s what we know right now.

Right now, Palworld has cross-platform support between Xbox and PC, but only if you’re playing the game through the Xbox app on PC. If you’re playing on Steam or PS5, you won’t be able to play cross-platform with Xbox friends.It’s kind of awkward, but it beats no cross-platform support like Elden Ring

Developers have repeatedly said that they’re working on more advanced cross-platform support but there hasn’t been news on that front since the game’s launch.
