While the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X might dominate the gaming news spotlight, the PC continues to be one of the best gaming platforms out there. Last year brought a variety of high-profile releases, and there’s still plenty more to come in 2025 in all genres, from co-op games to FPS. Most upcoming video games are going to find their way to PC. If you’re searching for your next big PC game (or want to see what’s on the horizon before investing in a new rig), here are the best upcoming PC games set to arrive in 2025 and beyond.
There are even a ton of upcoming Switch 2 games now that Nintendo’s next system is fully revealed.
These games are slated to come either on a specific date or at an unspecified time in 2025. There’s a chance some may slip from that window, but for now, they are scheduled to arrive this year.
Bungie is looking to reaffirm its mastery in sci-fi shooters (see Destiny 2 and Halo) by giving a nostalgic nod to the ’90s with the revamped classic Marathon. The PvP-focused extraction shooter unfolds on the enigmatic Tau Ceti IV, where players become cybernetic mercenaries navigating the remnants of a lost colony. Solo or in crews of three, they hunt for alien artifacts, loot, and gear.
The best (and essentially only) vampire RPG is back. Set in a Seattle faithfully reimagined in the World of Darkness, Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 features reactive storytelling, fast-paced melee combat, and intriguing characters with their own hidden motives. Created in an act of vampire insurrection, your existence ignites a blood war among the vampire factions who run Seattle.
From the creators of No Man’s Sky comes a fantastical exploration adventure with a lot of promise. Light No Fire takes place on an alternate Earth where mythical creatures like animated skeletons and dragons roam. We don’t know a lot about this title yet, but it looks similar to Hello Games’ previous hit — there will be lots of foraging, crafting, and trekking across a massive world. Platforms haven’t officially been announced but we expect it to launch of PS5.
All we know about the games listed below is that they’re in development. Most of them are probably a few years away from launch.
After the Yakuza series transformed into Like a Dragon, fans of traditional 3D brawler gameplay were left out in the cold. Project Century isn’t confirmed to be part of that series, but it will at least be an evolution of the gameplay. Set in 1915 Japan, the combat looks like a more bloody and brutal take on the old system that we’re excited to learn more about.
Ark II is going to give fans of the survival series exactly what they want — more dinosaurs. First announced in 2020, trailers starring Vin Diesel (yes, you read that correctly) describe a war in the past that led to the state of the world being a mashup of prehistoric animals and futuristic technologies. We think it’s safe to assume that gameplay will be very similar to the first game — you’ll explore with friends, raise dinosaurs, hunt dinosaurs, be hunted by dinosaurs, and try to build a safe settlement in a harsh world. This game has been pushed back to into 2025 at the earliet.
