Update 10/9/24: Day two of Amazon’s Prime Big Deal days is rolling and there are still plenty of Amazon Echo models to add to your smart home at a discount. We’ve updated the deals leftover from yesterday and will continue to keep an eye out for new Prime Day Echo deals throughout the remainder of Prime Big Deal Days, which ends late tonight.
Yesterday and today are some of the best days of the year to grab yourself some of Amazon’s own products, such as the Echo Speakers and Echo Show devices out there. Of course, Amazon may not always have the best Prime Big Deal Days deals on Echo devices, which is why we’ve gone out and looked for some of the best ones ourselves. You should also check out these Prime Day Ring deals and Prime Day Blink deals for some great home security options from Amazon.
The Echo Glow is a great lamp for a bedroom or play room, and it’s coming in at just $17 with this Prime Day deal. This device is a great way to break into the Echo lineup, or you could purchase several and set up some cool lighting arrangements.
The Echo Pop is a great Echo device to turn to if you’re a minimalist or new to a smart home setup. It’s a compact smart speaker with Alexa features, which allows you to control music and other audio such as audiobooks and podcasts with your voice. The Echo Pop will get you instant access to Alexa and smart home controls for just $18 with this Prime Day deal.
The Amazon Echo Pop Kids edition comes in both Disney Princess theme and Marvel theme. Each are marked down to just $23 from their regular price of $50 for Prime Big Deal Days. The Echo Pop Kids is the perfect smart speaker for kids’ rooms and game rooms, and it includes six months of Amazon Kids+, a digital subscription for kids to safely learn, grow, and explore.
The Amazon Echo Dot is one of the most popular devices in the Echo lineup, and this 2022 model is seeing a Prime Day discount of more than 50% off. This is a bit of a steal when you consider the 2022 model can still hold its own and offers smart features that include Alexa, smart home device control, and device pairing with Fire TVs. The Echo Dot also provides access to your favorite music and other content.
It’s good to see the Amazon Echo Spot among the Prime Big Deal Days Amazon Echo deals, as it’s a 2024 release and not something you’ll see discounted all that often. It’s currently going for just $45, down from its regular price of $80. This device is a sleek alarm clock with Alexa included, and it produces big, vibrant sound for listening to your favorite music, podcasts, and audiobooks.
If you’re looking to add a smart display to your smart home setup this deal on the Amazon Echo Show 5 is a good place to land some savings. The Echo Show 5 is nearly 50% off for Prime Day and it offers a 5.5-inch display that’s perfect for checking the weather, making video calls, viewing compatible cameras, streaming music and shows, and much more.
The Amazon Echo is the flagship of the Echo devices, as it offers premium sound, voice controls, and the ability to connect to other devices in your home and act as a smart home hub. This Prime Big Deal Days deal sees it marked down nearly 50%, bringing its price down from $100 to a much more pocket-friendly $55.
If you prefer a large display for your smart home hub, the Amazon Echo Show 8 is where you should turn. It’s a bit of an upgrade over smaller Echo devices, as it has the ability to play Spatial Audio and its 8-inch touchscreen comes in at HD resolution. You won’t find the Echo Show 8 at a price much lower than where it’s at with this Prime Day deal, as $85 is a bit of a steal for a device as capable as this.
The Amazon Echo Hub is an Alexa-enabled control panel for your smart home devices. With it you can customize controls and widget and quickly adjust devices, view cameras, and start routines. You can also save big during Prime Big Deal Days with the Echo Hub, as it’s marked down to $125 from its regular price of $180.
One of the big selling points of the Amazon Echo is primarily the Alexa support, which means that you should probably already be within the Amazon/Alexa ecosystem before you take a plunge, or at least get a good sense of what it can do. Once you’ve done that, then the only thing left is to figure out what sort of use case you’re looking to fill since there are several Amazon Echo Products, and there can sometimes be a very small difference between them.
For example, the Echo Dot is a solid smart speaker, and is actually the one we consider the best Amazon Alexa smart speaker. That said, there are two generations you can snag right now, as well as a version with a clock. If you want something smaller and cuter, then the Amazon Echo Pop is a great solution, while the Echo Studio is a high-end smart speaker that’s really powerful. There are also the various Echo Show options that have a screen on them and are a great companion for the kitchen or even the bedroom for additional information.
We also have our own guide on which Amazon Echo you should buy if you want a deeper dive.
Ironically enough, while Amazon makes Echo devices, they aren’t always on sale on Amazon, and even when they are, they might not actually be the best deal you can find, even on Prime Big Deal Days. That’s why a lot of what we do is scouring all the various retailers and looking at the deals they offer to try and find the cheapest we can. Of course, some folks may want to take advantage of subscriptions like Amazon Prime or My Best Buy Plus, so we do also try and offer a wide range of options from various retailers for you to check out.
At the end of the day, though, it’s all about finding you the deals that will give you the best bang for your buck, so we use our own experience and tools to figure out the best deals to put here. Hopefully, that will save you a lot of extra hassle of having to look around on your own, while also giving you the confidence that you’re getting the best deal you can.
Outdoor security cameras are not always practical if you live in an apartment or rental. Drilling into an exterior wall may be off-limits, while pointing a regular indoor camera through a window can create another problem once reflections start showing up after dark.
Baseus is trying to solve both issues with the new PrimeSentinel W1, a $69.99 security camera designed specifically to monitor the outdoors through glass. It mounts directly to a window without drilling and uses a 4K Starlight sensor with an F1.0 aperture for full-color monitoring during the day and at night.

Technology evolves every day, transforming how we live and work. Our devices are becoming more than tools we use. They are increasingly capable companions that help streamline day-to-day routines and spark creative ideas. If you have been waiting for the right moment to upgrade your tech setup, the Discover Samsung Shopping Event offers an opportunity to explore what connected, AI-powered living can look like.
With AI progressing so fast, it's only a matter of time before we start getting AI companions like the ones we used to see in movies like R2-D2, Wall-E, or Baymax. Now, Singapore-based OKA Technology has unveiled Mori, a cute little AI companion that looks less like a conventional home robot and more like someone turned the Pokémon Foongus into a table lamp.
Mori isn't meant to clean your house or control your smart home, but to serve as what OKA calls a "Nature Companion." It uses subtle movements, warm lighting, nature-inspired sounds, and small reactions to make its presence around the house feel calming rather than distracting. Mori can sit quietly while you read, sway along to music, welcome you when you enter a room, or encourage you to slow down for a moment without requiring a screen or a conversation.
