Last year, Bowers & Wilkins introduced the latest model of its Zeppelin wireless speakers, and despite the unusual look of the speaker, we were fairly impressed by how it sounded.

Now that same sound can be found in a new package, as Bowers & Wilkins has announced that it will soon begin shipping the Zeppelin in white to complement the original black color scheme. The British audio brand said in a press release that the new option was designed “to appeal to palette purists and design enthusiasts who prefer a more neutral colour tone.”

Aside from the new color, everything else remains the same, which in this case is a good thing. The speaker features a total of five drivers: two 3.5-inch midrange drivers, two 1-inch Double Dome tweeters, and a relatively massive 6.5-inch subwoofer for thumping lows. These speakers are powered by a 50-watt amplifier.

When the latest generation of the Zeppelin was released, Bowers & Wilkins was quick to point out the improved DSP, which can be as important as the hardware components in a wireless speaker. In our review of the Zeppelin, we touched on this as one of the major improvements over the previous generation.

In terms of connectivity, the Zeppelin is fairly loaded. It features Bluetooth 4.1 with aptX, AAC, and SBC support, as well as both Wi-Fi and AirPlay. If you want to ensure a strong connection, it even features an Ethernet port on the back of the unit. Spotify Connect, Apple Music, and SoundCloud support is included as well to meet your streaming music needs. For control of playback and volume, the company offers the Bowers & Wilkins Control App, available for iOS, Mac, and PC.

The Zeppelin wireless speaker sells for $700 and can be purchased via select retailers and from the Bowers & Wilkins website. The white finish will be available beginning in early August.
