It’s been a busy week for the Chicago Cubs. Last week we noted that things looked bleak for the lovable losers, down 3-1 to the Cleveland Indians. That was barely a hiccup, and as we all know, they blitzed thru the Tribe to win the Series in dramatic seven-game fashion. So after the parade through downtown Chicago, turning the river blue and getting a victory bash crowd estimated at five million people — the seventh largest human gathering ever according to Fox —  what do you do to top that? Go to Disney World (which is where Ben Zobrist, Addison Russell and Javier Baez are today)?

According to the Chicago Tribune, some of the Cubs players will appear on Saturday Night Live tonight. The show is being hosted by Dr. Strange himself, Benedict Cumberbatch, with musical guest Solange. The team flew to New York, presumably with very little sleep, following the celebration yesterday.

The Cubs follow in a long tradition of athletes appearing on the iconic show, as reported by Sports Illustrated. Tennis pros Chris Evert and John McEnroe, quarterbacks Joe Montana and Tom Brady, and hockey legend Wayne “The Great One” Gretzky are among the many that have take a guest star shot. Including these two will you will no doubt recognize, although the first one you might have trouble with — that’s Michael Jordan under that hair:

And this Conehead isn’t from France, despite what you might think. The Juice was indeed loose in February of 1978. Back then, he was just known for his football abilities. Was he leaping through airports for Avis at this point?

Perhaps Will Ferrell be on hand to do his famous Harry Carey impression. Could SNL alumnus Bill Murray, a Cub fan of some note, also appear? You never know with Murray, who might just pop out of the audience.
