What’s happened: Netflix released a stunning new trailer for Oscar-winning filmmaker Guillermo del Toro’s new horror movie, Frankenstein, based on Mary Shelley’s classic novel of the same name.
Why this is important: Frankenstein has been del Toro’s passion project for several years, and it looks like the film will do Shelley’s novel justice.
Why should I care? Frankenstein‘s trailer teases a beautiful and tragic Gothic horror based around one of pop culture’s most iconic tales.
OK, what’s next? Frankenstein will be released in select theaters on October 17, 2025, so fans can experience this epic horror film on the big screen, depending on where they live.
