With over 300 million subscribers, Netflix is one of the most popular streaming services in the world. And just what do those people tend to watch? In particular, what is the most popular movie on Netflix? Each week, the streaming service releases a list of its 10 most-watched movies over a recent seven-day period to keep subscribers informed about its most popular titles.
KPop Demon Hunters continues to set records. The animated musical has been in the top 10 a record-breaking 15 weeks in a row, beating the previous high set by Red Notice. Below, we’ve listed the top 10 movies in the U.S. from September 22 to 28, along with general information about each film, such as genre, rating, cast, and synopsis.

A young boy begins to hear mysterious noises in his bedroom in Cobweb. Due to bullying at school and neglect at home, eight-year-old Peter (Woody Norman) spends most of his days in his room.
When Peter starts to hear tapping inside his walls, his parents deny his pleas. As the sounds intensify, Peter becomes more convinced that someone is hiding behind the walls. He might wish he had never found it.

Upon arrival, Fiona’s parents had no idea that Shrek and Fiona were ogres. Fairy Godmother (Jennifer Saunders) offers to help Fiona. What Fairy Godmother really wants is for Fiona to marry her son, Prince Charming (Rupert Everett). Shrek won’t go away quietly, so he teams with Donkey (Eddie Murphy) and Puss in Boots (Antonio Banderas) to thwart Fairy Godmother’s plans.

In the land of Duloc, a grumpy ogre named Shrek (Mike Myers) lives in his swamp. One day, many fairytale creatures are exiled to Shrek’s swamp by Lord Farquaad (John Lithgow).
Unwilling to live with these creatures, Shrek cuts a deal with Farquaad: if Shrek rescues Princess Fiona (Cameron Diaz) from a castle guarded by a dragon, Farquaad will move the creatures from his swamp. Accompanied by the talkative Donkey (Eddie Murphy), Shrek embarks on a journey that will change him forever.

Mike heads to Nepal and hires a local guide (Fan Bingbing) to accompany him up the mountain. On the drive, Mike’s bus becomes the target of mercenaries who want to kill an important passenger. In true Neeson fashion, his character grabs a gun and fights back in an effort to save the trip

The next chapter of the Karate Kid heads to New York City. Karate Kid: Legends follows Li Fong (Ben Wang), a teenage kung fu prodigy who moves to the Big Apple with his mother (Ming-Na Wen). When a school bully threatens his livelihood, Li enters a citywide karate tournament to help a friend.
To win the competition, Li will have to learn new skills from two teachers: Mr. Han (Jackie Chan), a kung fu master, and Daniel LaRusso (Ralph Macchio), a Miyagi-Do karate teacher.

In The Wrong Paris, Dawn (Miranda Cosgrove) is a small-town girl who dreams of studying art in Paris. Without the proper funds for a French excursion, Dawn must get creative. Enter The Honeypot, a reality dating show that plans to film in Paris, France.
Dawn earns a spot on the show, but her Parisian dreams are crushed when it films in Paris, Texas. Dawn asks the bachelor, Trey McAllen (Pierson Fodé), to eliminate her from the competition, but she reconsiders after falling in love with him. Maybe the Paris twist won’t be so bad after all.

A biblical love story gets a modern-day interpretation in Ruth & Boaz, a Netflix Original film from producers Tyler Perry and DeVon Franklin. Set in Tennessee, Ruth & Boaz follows the titular Ruth (Serayah), a talented singer who leaves Atlanta for small-town life in Tennessee.
It’s here where Ruth meets Boaz (Tyler Lepley), a handsome business owner of Azra Vineyard & Winery. Ruth soon falls in love with Boaz, but her past threatens to disrupt her new life.

KPop Demon Hunters is exactly what you think it’s about: K-Pop singers who kill demons in their spare time. In this world, demons have been preying on humans for generations and feeding their souls to their ruler, Gwi-Ma (Lee Byung-hun). One K-pop girl group, HUNTR/X, sets out to fight demons when they’re not performing their hit songs onstage.
The group consists of Rumi (Arden Cho), Mira (May Hong), and Zoey (Ji-young Yoo). The girls are winning the battle between humans and demons, so the latter fight music with music by creating a rival boy band, the Saja Boys. Something has to give in the war to rule the world.
