is one of our favorite picks, with our review team praising it for its ruggedness, excellent charging rate, light weight, and affordability. One of the most important features to look for in a good sun-powered charger is its ability to convert solar energy into electricity, and Aukey’s model boasts a solar conversion rate of up to 23.5 percent, which means you won’t have to wait forever for your devices to charge.
Dual USB ports let you power up two of your devices simultaneously. Each port provides a 2.4A output, which can be ramped up to 3.1A when the charger is in direct sunlight. The solar panels are laminated and the charger is housed in rugged PVC fabric, creating a durable
exterior that is both water- and weather-resistant.
When not in use, the Aukey portable solar charger folds up flat and easily fits in your backpack or laptop bag. When unfolded, the unit can stand up on the ground for optimal positioning of the solar panels relative to the sun’s position in the sky.
