If you've chosen a Samsung Galaxy S20 FE (Fan Edition) over the regular Galaxy S20, you'll find a lot to love, like that 6.5-inch Super AMOLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate and 5G connectivity. Whichever of the six gorgeous colors you went for — from Cloud Orange to Cloud Lavender — your Galaxy phone needs superb protection against drops and bumps. You don't want to risk taking your phone out and about without ensuring that it's safe, and we've picked some of the best cases around that offer a combination of protection and style. Pick up one of the best Samsung Galaxy S20 FE cases from our list.
These cases are designed for the Samsung Galaxy S20 FE, but we've also got some of the best cases for the Samsung Galaxy S20 and the S20 Plus.
This dual-layer case from Crave offers a flexible TPU and PC shell with a grippy finish, and it comes in a choice of 10 colors, though we love the deep Forest Green version, pictured.
With a pocket-friendly slim profile, the Dual Guard case also offers improved shock absorption to keep your phone safe from drops and bumps, plus tactile button covers. It's compatible with wireless charging and PowerShare, too, so you won't have to take the case off to charge your phone. The only real negative here is that the edges of the case could be a bit more raised around the screen for greater protection. Otherwise, this is a solid, good-looking case for the money.
Sometimes only a rugged-looking case will do, but this Limited Edition Case from EGO Tactical and Urban Armor Gear comes with a cool design, too. In fact, you can choose from 42 different designs — we love this digital camouflage print.
This case does more than just look good, though. Urban Armor Gear is known for its tough protection, and the armor shell and impact-resistant soft core keep your phone safe from drops and bumps. Speaking of drops, this case meets military drop-test standards (MIL STD 810G 516.6) and features a non-slip ruggedized grip to reduce the chances of you dropping your phone in the first place. Scratch-resistant skid pads and screen-surround mean your phone will stay exactly where you place it. This case is also compatible with wireless charging.
With this case you're getting a solid, rugged Urban Armor Gear case with a cool, limited edition skin from EGO Tactical — what more could you want?
If slim is what you're looking for, we recommend this case by JETech. Made from flexible TPU, it hugs your phone tightly, with an interior honeycomb pattern to disperse shock from drops, plus reinforced shock-absorbing corners. There's a 1.2mm raised lip around the screen and camera to keep them safe, tactile buttons, and precise cutouts. Plus, the sides have a no-slip grip finish, reducing the risk of you dropping your phone. This case comes in five colors, but we'd go for the cool black carbon fiber one.
OtterBox is known for its protective cases, but a rugged, chunky case isn’t for everyone. Step up the Symmetry Series, which combines military-grade protection with an ultra-slim profile — great if you carry your phone in your pocket on the regular. OtterBox actually promises that this case is designed to survive three times as many drops as military standard cases, and with raised edges to protect the S20 FE’s screen and camera, this is just about the toughest protection you’ll find in a sleek package.
The Symmetry Series Case even defends against germs and microbes, with an integrated silver-based additive providing antimicrobial protection that inhibits microbe growth and repels common bacteria. At $50, it’s a bit more of an investment than some other cases on our list — but we think it’s well worth the extra dollar.
If style and substance are equally important to you, the Fusion Onyx case from Ringke ticks both boxes. Made from flexible TPU with embossed sides that enhance your grip, it features an unusual matte granulate texture. Not only does this look cool, but it also serves two important purposes: It repels fingerprints while also making the S20 FE decidedly less slippery. Raised bezels around the screen and camera add an additional level of protection, and shock-absorption technology reinforces all four corners and sides of the case for the ultimate protection against bumps and drops. Those raised edges mean the case is compatible with screen protectors too, and there are QuikCatch lanyard holes to attach straps if you’re out and about and need to go hands-free.
We’d pick this case up in the dark olive green variant, pictured, but it’s also available in dark blue or black.
Showing off your S20 FE in a clear case is all well and good — but clear cases can be a little, dare we say, dull. Not so with the range of clear cases from Love Cases, which come in a wide variety of fun designs, including this one featuring a white cloud print. The case itself is made from clear, flexible TPU which fits the S20 FE perfectly. It’s lightweight, too, and doesn’t add bulk to the phone’s slim lines. If you’re into clear cases but want something a little more exciting, this is the case to get.
Speck is known for its tough cases, and with the Presidio ExoTech case, you get durability and toughness in a slim, sleek design. This single-layer case is lightweight and meets military drop-test standards. The soft-touch coating feels good in your hand but serves a practical purpose, too, keeping your phone from falling through your fingers. If you do drop your device, a raised bezel around the screen keeps it safe from cracking or shattering should it land face down. This case comes with a lifetime warranty and also features Microban antimicrobial protection built in, which reduces stain and odor-causing bacteria buildup on your case by up to 99%.
Spigen’s Rugged Armor case gives you all of Spigen’s usual protection — with Air Cushion Technology to absorb shock and cushion against drops — in a flexible TPU case that has a raised lip for added screen protection. Its cool carbon fiber design gives it a sleek appearance, and the price isn’t bad either.
For those who don’t want to invest in a separate screen protector, the official Clear View case from Samsung offers 360-degree protection for your phone — but the best bit is you can view your battery life, check the time, view incoming calls, or read messages without opening the case, thanks to the semi-transparent front cover. Currently available in white and navy blue, this sleek case is wireless charging compatible and is constructed from high-quality materials, hence the slightly steep price tag.
If you like to travel light, wallet cases are your best bet, and this one from Olixar offers all-around protection for your phone, whether you’re slinging it in your bag or carrying it in your pocket. With its soft leather exterior and microfiber lining to protect your screen, this wallet case is padded to provide extra protection against drops and bumps yet still maintains a slim profile. There are two interior pockets for your cards, ID, or cash and a handy pocket for documents. The case folds out into a kickstand for hands-free video calls or web browsing. Available in black or brown, this case is an excellent choice for the price.
The Midnight Blue version of the Parallax case by Caseology is stunning and showcases a unique Escher-like configuration. The case offers much more than an attractive appearance, though. Two layers of bumpers offer your phone military-grade security against bumps and drops, while elevated bezels protect your screen from cracks and scratches. The case’s exterior features an enhanced grip to prevent drops. It’s also compatible with most wireless charging and screen shields. On the downside, it's a little tight fitting, so it's not the best choice if you need to remove your case frequently.
Case-Mate’s Soap Bubble Case is an oil-slick case that will brighten up your life with color and pure bliss. Its vibrant, colorful swirl design catches the eye while it keeps your phone out of harm’s way. It protects your phone from drops as high as 10 feet and offers resistance to microbes and scratches. This case also comes with a lifetime warranty, making it an excellent investment.
If you went with a bold, statement-making Galaxy S20 FE color such as Cloud Lavender or Cloud Orange, you want people to see it. This transparent case from Osophter keeps your phone secure while showcasing its outrageous colors. Corner bumpers made of polycarbonate and shatterproof TPU protect your phone against bumps and drops. Its raised edges keep your screen from touching surfaces beneath it, even when your phone is positioned face down on your desk or nightstand.

Motorola has built some of my favorite foldables and flagship phones. I had a great time with both the Razr Fold and last year's Signature. So when the company began teasing the Signature 27, I couldn't help be excited. The new model comes with Qualcomm's blazing-fast Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6, and better still, it is finally getting a proper global release.
One of the reasons I was obsessed with the last-gen Signature was its amazing price tag. But it seems like that budget flagship dream might be officially dead. Portuguese retailer MegaPC has prematurely listed a 12GB RAM and 512GB storage Signature 27 in Pantone Coal Smoke for €1,594.90 (approx. $1,775).

Google Play is borrowing one of the Nintendo Switch’s most useful little tricks. A new Sidekick tool called Playbacks captures a short clip after something interesting has already happened, sparing players from running a screen recorder throughout an entire game.
Playbacks is part of Google Play Store v53.8 and keeps saved clips on the phone. Google first announced it earlier this month, but the new Play Store update marks its arrival for players. Anyone who has watched a perfect win vanish because the record button came too late already understands the appeal.
