The excellent intermediate Canon EOS R10 camera is $86 off at Walmart today

I recently grabbed a Canon EOS R50 bundle for a trip to the Dominican Republic. I did a lot of research before I made my decision, sifting through the best camera deals, and the two options I essentially narrowed down were the R50 and the EOS R10. The biggest difference between the two is that the R10 gives you more granular control over some of the photoshoot settings. R50, on the other hand, was designed assuming you’ll mostly use the automatic shooting modes. That’s a great option for novices, while the R10 is better for intermediate to more skilled photographers. Why am I telling you all of this? Because the excellent Canon EOS R10 camera is on sale at Walmart for Black Friday, discounted by $86 to $760 instead of $846. It is one of the better early Black Friday camera deals I’ve found so far. It comes with an 18-45mm lens. Needless to say, that’s a great deal. Comparatively, the R10 with body only — no lens — is $879 right now at Amazon .

If you’re not into numbers you might feel your eyes start to gloss over here, but with cameras of this caliber it’s pretty important. The Canon EOS R10 camera features a 24.2MP DIGIC X image processor, and it shoots 4K quality video. Supported image formats — the formats you can save your photos in — include C-RAW (Canon), HEIF, JPEG, and RAW. It has a smart and fast dual-pixel CMOS autofocus and offers high-speed continuous shooting thanks to mechanical shutter speeds of 15 frames per second. That basically means you can hold the shutter button down and snap photos in succession, which is great for action shots. It’s also mirrorless versus a DSLR.

Typically, when you buy a camera like this it does not come with a lens unless you get a bundle. Like the Amazon deal I mentioned in the intro, which only comes with the body of the camera. But this bundle from Walmart includes the R10 18-45mm STM lens, so you can attach it and start shooting right away — after you charge the battery, of course. It’s not the best lens ever but it will certainly do until you can get a more advanced lens. If you’re shooting casually, it will work perfectly.

If you want a camera that you can use to shoot scenery, portraits at home with the kids or family, or just take some great vacation photos, the Camera EOS R10 is a solid choice. Plus, Walmart’s deal drops $86 off the top and it includes a lens. Well, let’s just say it’s a fantastic offer. If you’re interested, go grab the R10 for $760 right now instead of $846.
