When it comes to high-octane sports and other speedy scenarios, our phone cameras can only do so much to capture the action. That’s why there’s such a big market for action cameras, and one of the O.G. camera companies in this realm is GoPro. For years, GoPro has been delivering HD and 4K cameras that are both durable and user-friendly, which is why we’re glad to shine a light on this fantastic offer we found while vetting Walmart deals:
When you purchase the GoPro Hero 12 at Walmart, you’ll pay $300. At full price, this model sells for $400.
One of the main reasons people seek out GoPro cameras is because of how good they are for underwater photography. In the case of the Hero 12, once the waterproof casing is applied, you’ll be able to submerge the camera up to 33 feet. There’s even a water-repelling lens for ensuring lens flare and other visual maladies won’t impact your photos and videos. The Hero 12 also delivers incredible battery life. You can expect max recording times of 2.5 hours when recording at 1080p and 30fps.
The Hero 12 has top-notch HDR capabilities, too. When shooting in HDR, you’ll get brighter highlights and richer colors, which pair very nicely with the camera’s 5.3K and 4K resolution capabilities. And like most GoPro tech, the Hero 12 can be mounted or rigged up to just about any surface with the right accessories.
It’s hard to say how long this discount is going to stick around, but it could be gone tomorrow. That’s why it’s a good idea to buy now if you’re looking to save big on a solid GoPro. Own the Hero 12 for $300 when you purchase at Walmart, and be sure to check out our lists of the best GoPro deals and best camera deals, too.
Full-frame cameras tend to be chunky beasts, but Sigma wants to prove that big imaging doesn't need a big body. Enter the Sigma FP2, the successor to its tiny, boxy fp mirrorless camera. It keeps the same modular design but packs in some serious upgrades, including a 24.5-megapixel partially stacked full-frame sensor, improved autofocus, 6K video recording, and 70GB of built-in storage. Sigma calls it the world's smallest full-frame camera, and while it might be tiny, the same cannot be said for its price tag.

A phone thermal camera is one of those tools you don’t think you need until the first time it saves you from an expensive problem, and the Thermal Master P3 just got easier to try. For Halloween, it’s discounted with the code THERMCAM10, a 10% cut that works out to $107 off the total. It’s also fresh off a win at the 2026 Tom’s Guide AI Awards for best phone thermal camera, which is the kind of third-party nod that separates a serious tool from the cheap clip-on sensors that flood this category.
We are nearing Amazon's Prime Big Deal Days, which officially run October 6 and 7. But there is no need to wait until the sale begins to start looking. Early offers are already live, and camera gear is one category where I found enough worthwhile discounts to put together a proper creator-focused list.
I’ve deliberately gone wider than interchangeable-lens cameras here. There are pocket and action cameras, a 360 camera, an instant camera, two wireless microphone systems, and a pair of webcams covering very different budgets. Prices were checked on October 2, and as always with Amazon, they can move quickly.
