Today, with heavy hearts, we bring you our last Between the Streams podcast. We made it to 150 episodes, which is about 148 or so more than we expected, so what can you say. But no tears, as the show’s video embodiment will live on every Friday at 10:20 a.m. PT as a part of Digital Trends Live, as well as being syndicated across the web.

We’ve got a great show for our wrap, as well, including everything from our first look at Cowboy Rambo and the entrancing new Dark Crystal series, to Jon Hamm’s Top Gun 2 hype, and our absolute adoration for What We Do in the Shadows the series. Oh yeah, and we officially have a new Batman, so let the commensurate online bitching ensue. It’s gonna be a good one!

Between the Streams is your weekly streaming guide to all of the hottest, most important, and (of course) dumbest new developments in streaming and entertainment, providing a handy recap of the week that was and a preview for what is ahead. We tackle the best and brightest movies and TV shows coming your way, including way too many superhero movies — and we love it.

At Between the Streams, we take on the big issues of our times, like whether or not Star Wars is going to go off the rails in the next few years (probably), or why five seasons is the ultimate zenith for any drama that wants to go out on top (thank you, Breaking Bad). We’re just as happy arguing about whether or not Alf was a quintessential ’80s sitcom as we are pondering Hollywood’s increasing penchant for reboots and nostalgia-driven mash-ups like Stranger Things. In short, we’re all about the most awesome, water cooler-worthy entertainment subjects that happen each and every week.

We do the tough part so you don’t have to, digging up all the stories you need to know about each Friday in a fun and succinct weekly chat. So sit back, grab something to drink, and enjoy the ride. It’s all entertainment from here, and let’s face it, we could all use the break.

Spotify looks to lure podcasters, listeners away from Apple with polls, Q&As

If you're a podcast creator, polls and Q&As give you a free way to increase your engagement with your audience. Normally, a listener has few ways to directly interact with their favorite podcasts, given that most platforms like Google Podcasts and Apple Podcasts are essentially no more than a way to find, subscribe to, and play podcast episodes. With Spotify's new tools, podcasts become interactive, with polls and the ability to ask listeners questions, right on the episode page.
