New Tech Streamlines Ad Buying Process

Portland, OR – March 24, 2016 –Leading consumer technology publisher DigitalTrends.com has begun using Header Bidding technology to allow for improved access and functionality to the publisher’s ad sales inventory, it was announced today by Andrew Budkofsky, Executive Vice President of Sales & Partnerships for Digital Trends. Header Bidding, which the company recently moved out of Beta testing, replaces the need for ad exchanges and streamlines the buying and selling process by making available inventory more accessible to advertisers and in a more timely fashion.

“Our primary objective in rolling out Header Bidding is to help our ad partners maximize scale and performance,” explains Budkofsky. “Digital Trends recognizes the importance of every single one of our ad impressions and as tech experts, it’s imperative that our sales technology is as current as our up-to-the-minute editorial coverage.  As a direct sales-driven organization, it’s in everyone’s best interest to simplify Digital Trends’ partner offerings and make all of our inventory more accessible, efficient and user-friendly.”

The use of Header Bidding is the latest in a series of tech enhancements for DigitalTrends.com, which last month unveiled infrastructure upgrades on the editorial side to offer users a more premium, magazine quality experience. In late February, the company  rolled out Google’s  AMP (Accelerated Mobile Pages) for lightning-speed loading for mobile users and just two weeks ago announced that users could access its content through Apple News, a new service that allows users to customize news and information from across the web based on their expressed preferences.

Digital Trends is a leading consumer technology publisher that aims to demystify technology, helping people navigate an increasingly digital world. Digital Trends’ easy-to-understand product reviews, entertaining news and videos serve more than 24 million unique visitors each month and four million mobile users.
