Last summer we looked at the 2023’s Amazon Fire Max 11 once more, concluded it was still among the best Android tablets, and have since stayed essentially silent about it. Until now. That’s because there’s a limited time deal going on over at Amazon for their Fire Max 11 tablet.
Usually it is $230 but while this deal lasts it is $185. That’s a savings of 20% or, to save you the arithmetic, $45 off. And, of course, that brings new life and interest to the machine. You can tap the button below to see the deal for yourself. It’s been awhile since this tablet (again, one of the best Android tablets) has gotten hype, so you’re excused for having forgotten about all of its details. But don’t worry, if you keep reading, we’ll bring you back up to speed.

“Is this product for you?” is a very cliché question that’s easy to gloss over. But it is a really big question for the Amazon Fire Max 11, since it has some areas it really excels at. Our Amazon Fire Max 11 review called it a “media machine,” and that’s how you should think of it. It’s not that it isn’t an “excellent general-use tablet” (that’s a quote from our review) but just that it is more focused on some things than others. We found that it really excels as a tablet for reading and a tablet for movies or TV shows. You might even find that browsing and typing on it are easier than with other tablets, on account of its optional keyboard and stylus. It’s got 4GB of RAM and the version currently on sale is limited to 64GB of storage, however, so it isn’t going to be a mobile gamer’s dream tablet — though, our reviewer accounted playing casual games like Candy Crush with no problem.
If you’re recounting your 2023 hype for the Amazon Fire Max 11 and still want it if a discount is involved, now is your chance. While this limited time deal is on, you can get it for $185. Again, that’s $45 lower than what you’d usually pay for it. This not your style? Check out other tablet deals to find something more suited to your needs.

The best Android phones remain some of the most-anticipated mobiles each year, yet historically, iPad has remained the dominant tablet force. I’ve just come off of a month of testing the OnePlus Pad Go 2, which should be a tempting iPad alternative due to its price and size (a 12-inch screen for a cost that's comparable to the base-level 10-inch iPad), but that time just reminded me how far Android lags behind iPadOS.

As a result, you won’t find Safari alternatives that can really stand out. On the desktop side for Mac, there’s no such rule. As a result, you can find terrific options such as Perplexity Comet, Dia, and ChatGPT Atlas, aside from the big names such as Chrome, Edge, and Firefox.
