A larger, 15-inch MacBook Air could launch next year

Apple's new MacBook Air should release some time this year, but rumor has it that a larger 15-inch MacBook Air will come out in 2023, according to insiders.

Apple could be releasing a 15-inch MacBook Air next year, according to reporting from iMore. The company has been talking about making a larger model of the Air for several years, and it looks like those discussions are yielding tangible results.

The new info comes from analyst Ross Young and the latest Display Supply Chain Consultants Quarterly Advanced IT Display Report. The report includes a road map for several Apple products, including a 15-inch MacBook Air in 2023.

Just released our Apple iPad and Mac roadmaps in our Quarterly Advanced IT Display Report and see new display sizes next year for the iPad and MacBook Air. Will likely include in our talks at the SID/DSCC Business Conference on 5/9 for those interested.

That’s not the only news in the report either. Apple’s soon-to-be-released MacBook Air may also have a larger display while maintaining a similar form factor. That’s because the MacBook Air will probably have thinner bezels, like the newest MacBook Pros before it. There are rumors it might even have a notch.

The news comes on the heels of rumors about the new MacBook Air, including a pretty realistic render from ZONEofTECH.

The entry-level iPad is also getting a refresh according to DSCC. It would have a larger 10-inch display and the same design language as the iPad Air, iPad Pro, and every other Apple product at this point.

Apple has aggressively revamped its Mac lineup over the past year. After years of anemic refreshes, the company has kicked it into overdrive after its M1 chips took the computing world by storm.

After the initial release of M1 devices, the 24-inch M1 iMac came several months later, complete with several new color options. Just last week, Apple announced the Mac Studio, a powerhouse PC in a suped-up Mac Mini case. Apple isn’t done yet, with the new Mac Pro and MacBook Air coming somewhere down the line.

Affinity’s new all-in-one creative app is finally coming to the iPad, nearly a year after Canva launched the redesigned desktop version for Mac and Windows. Creatives have been asking for the iPad release ever since, especially because files created in the new Affinity app cannot be opened in the older V2 iPad apps.

Affinity already has Photo, Designer, and Publisher apps on iPad, but the new release combines those tools into the same unified app that Canva launched on desktop last year.

Touchscreen laptops have been around for years. You can get them in all sizes and shapes. Just not from Apple. For years, the Cupertino giant has treated the idea of a touchscreen MacBook the way I treat a meeting that could have been an email: with open contempt. However, Wednesday looks like the day the company could finally change its mind.

The latest Apple invite puts the “Pro and Tell” showcase in Los Angeles at 10 a.m. PT (1 p.m. ET) on October 28, 2026. Instead of a regular live-streamed keynote, it is an invitation-only, hands-on event for a handful of press and creators (similar to what the company did for the MacBook Neo earlier this year).

Apple has just launched its latest iPad mini with a notable set of upgrades, including an OLED screen, improved speakers, and a more resilient build. It also gets a new chip, and the whole package costs $200 more than its predecessor. But if you look closely at Apple’s online store, you’ll realize that $699 isn’t enough to get you the most powerful version of the A20 Pro chip inside this tablet. In fact, even if you pay $800 for the 256GB model, you still won’t get the beefiest variant. Only when you jump to the 512GB trim, which costs an absurd $999, do you get the most powerful flavor of the A20 Pro.
