Apple’s next iPad Pro has slipped into the wild, and leaked benchmarks reveal what matters most: the GPU.
What’s happened? YouTuber Wylsacom is showing what they claim to be the 13-inch M5 iPad Pro, before Apple officially unveils it. His unboxing video and benchmark tests show a device that looks nearly identical to its M4 predecessor but carries a new chipset inside. Another YouTuber, Romancev768, has also shown of a tablet they claim to be the new iPad, and given a long run down.
This is important because: Not every iPad Pro buyer will notice the difference, but for professionals, GPU performance can make or break workflows. Video editing, 3D rendering, and advanced gaming all rely more on graphics horsepower than on raw CPU speed.
Why should I care? If you use an iPad mainly for streaming, browsing, or note-taking, an M5 upgrade likely won’t matter. But if you’re a designer, video editor, or mobile gamer, the GPU boost could be the deciding factor for upgrading.
Okay, what’s next? Leaks like this, although not confirmed to be using real hardward, often signal an official Apple announcement in the near future. The last time Wylsacom unboxed unreleased Apple hardware, the M4 MacBook Pro was announced shortly after.
